A Guide to Writing and Publishing that Ebook You Have in Your Head!

Poems, short stories, family histories, novels…we all have a story in our head.  But up until the last few years it was almost impossible to get them printed once they were written.  Amazon and the Kindle Publishing System changed all that.  Now you can publish that book!  And it’s free!

But, how is it done?  If you’re like me you’ve looked at the Youtube vids and bought a few ebooks on the subject, and maybe even perused the Amazon Kindle Publishing site.  But you’re confused, or you tried to upload your book and were stymied by all the steps involved.

So was I.  So I decided to start writing travel ebooks and uploading them so I could learn the Amazon Kindle process.  I tried all sorts of different approaches, and made mistakes…but in the end I figured out a simple way to upload my books.  Then I decided to share this information.

If you follow the steps in my Guide to Writing and Publishing Ebooks you will be able to do what I’ve done.

I’m not going to tell you that you’ll make a million bucks.  That does happen but to an infinitesimal number of people.  You aren’t going to get rich self publishing.  If you find a niche and write books that people are interested in you will make a bit of money.  I have…and that’s why I will keep writing the books.

Aim to have fun when you write and publish, and keep your day job…but this guide will take you through the steps you have to follow to publish your work.  Have fun and good luck!

Spend the Festive Holidays in Vienna

Yes, I have written another guide, this time to Vienna.  I think Vienna is a fascinating city, straddling the West and East in many ways.  It’s history is intriguing, it’s coffee is delicious and it’s pastry is to die for.  When I was there I drank coffee and ate pastries.  It’s an easy city to get to, and to get around in.  The public transportation is very good, and there is a dedicated bus from the airport to the train station, then it’s an easy walk to the tram.  The city is cosmopolitan, and the music is divine.  The opera house is a work of art in itself, but there are always art galleries and museums to see.  There are the horses of course and waltzes.  If you just wish to go to Vienna, it is wonderful in any season, but more so during the festive holidays.  Here is my guide to Vienna.
